How it works
Simple math, clearly explained.
Start with what you already know. You can update the numbers later — results recalculate instantly.
- Gross revenue
- Price × expected monthly sales. Everything buyers pay you before any costs.
- Processing fees
- What your payment provider keeps: a percentage of each sale plus any fixed fee per transaction. Check your provider's current rates.
- Variable (per-sale) costs
- Costs that happen every time someone buys — like delivery, licensing or affiliate commissions.
- Fixed monthly costs
- Expenses you pay every month no matter how many sales you make, like tools and subscriptions. Only include this product's share.
- Allocated creation cost
- Your one-time creation cost divided by the months you'd like to recover it in. A planning assumption, not accounting depreciation.
- Contribution per sale
- Price minus fees and per-sale costs. What each sale contributes toward your monthly costs.
- Estimated net profit
- Revenue minus all the expenses you've entered. It doesn't include taxes or costs you haven't added.
- Profit margin
- Net profit as a percentage of revenue. Shown as N/A when there's no revenue.
- Break-even sales
- Monthly costs ÷ contribution per sale, rounded up. The sales needed to cover your fixed and creation costs.
- Goal-based required price
- The price that would reach your desired monthly profit at your expected sales. A calculation — not proof buyers will pay it.
